Safe and Visible: Because swimming with such a buoy bag trailing behind you in orange or green makes you much more visible in the water to motorboats and other vessels - helping us avoid unfortunate accidents.

Practical: The buoy bag allows you to carry your valuables on the water, protected in a waterproof compartment, so you don't risk discovering after your swim that your phone, wallet, and keys have been stolen. It also enables you to take a short break during your swim, as you can simply lie on top of it and catch your breath while in the middle of the water.

Success!

Therefore, such a buoy bag is almost a must-have for anyone who swims in open water (and something we highly recommend).

But perhaps you already have one? If that's the case, then here's a very useful guide for you below, showing you how to prepare the buoy bag for use in 7 easy steps.

But if this is not the case for you yet, we are currently offering our open water swimming buoy bags for only 38,88 EUR right here at Watery.ie - and they are available in both orange and green models. Jump to the orange model here and the green model here.

Let's get started on preparing the buoy bag:

1. Contents when you order the buoy bag

All packages include: 1 bladder, 1 strap from the bag to the belt, 1 belt with male/female snap fasteners.

2. Attach the short strap

The strap is placed around the handle of the buoy bag.

3. Thread the long strap through the small one.

4. Fill the bag with your belongings

The buoy bag is filled with the belongings that need to accompany you on your swim, and the bag's hole is rolled down to the maximum/minimum level. The maximum/minimum level is indicated with a line on the back of the bag.

5. Inflate the buoy bag from the back

First, inflate the buoy bag through the valve at the back. Remove the small protection covering the valve, and the first breath should be strong enough to push the valve back. Inflate the buoy bag as much as possible.

6. Inflate the buoy bag at the front

Then, turn the buoy bag over and perform the same exercise with the valve at the front. Air from the front valve will enter around the transparent touch front pocket, where, among other things, you can store your phone.

7. Ready, Set, Swim

The bag is now ready for your swim.

8. Release the air after use

When the air needs to come out again, turn the small flap that protects the valve and press it against the valve. And voilà, you're ready for open water swimming. It often takes less than 1.5 minutes to prepare the buoy bag for use. And only 7 steps.
